[dropcap]Ο[/dropcap]ι σειρές αυξάνονται ραγδαία τα τελευταία χρόνια, με την Marvel να σαρώνει και στην μικρή οθόνη και μια ακόμα σειρά να είναι το Inhumans, η οποία μετά το πρώτο teaser trailer, έχει αρχίσει και τις πρώτες “αντιδράσεις”.
Οι πρώτες κριτικές αλλά και τα σχόλια στα διάφορα forum και site δεν έχουν τόσο μεγάλη απήχηση όσο θα περιμέναμε, χαρακτηρίζοντας μάλιστα το Inhumans ως την χειρότερη σειρά της Marvel και γενικότερα όπως θα δείτε από τα σχόλια στο Rotten Tomatoes ως μια όχι και τόσο καλή προσπάθεια.
H σειρά βασίζεται στο comic των Stan Lee και Jack Kirby που δημοσιεύτηκε το 1965 και ασχολείται με την βασιλική οικογένεια, συμπεριλαμβανομένου και του Black Bolt, του αινιγματικού βασιλιά των Inhumans, που διαθέτει μια φωνή τόσο δυνατή, που ακόμη και ο παραμικρός ψίθυρος μπορεί να καταστρέψει μια ολόκληρη πόλη.
Showrunner είναι ο Scott Buck, ενώ στο cast θα δούμε τους Anson Mount (Black Bolt), Iwan Rheon (Maximus), Serinda Swan (Medusa), Isabelle Cornish (Crystal), Eme Ikwuakor (Gorgon), Mike Moh (Triton), Sonya Balmores, Ken Leung, Ellen Woglom. Η σειρά θα κάνει πρεμιέρα την πρώτη Σεπτεμβρίου.
At best, Inhumans resembles a mediocre ’90s syndicated genre series, and blowing it up to IMAX size just puts a bigger spotlight on the flaws.
Inhumans already feels like a missed opportunity and an odd outcast in the larger Marvel canon.
Despite “big” launch, little to marvel at.
It does all seem faintly ridiculous. The interiors of Attilan look bland, bare and brutalistic, while the costuming and production design manage neither grandeur or grit.
Previewing of the first hour found little material of a scope that demands to be seen on an Imax screen. Inhumans” fidelity to the comics … could also make it a tough sell beyond that loyal core.
