To soundtrack του Lord Of The Rings ψηφίστηκε το καλύτερο όλων των εποχών στην Μεγάλη Βρετανία

Η μουσική στις ταινίες όπως έχουμε αναφέρει πολλές φορές παίζει σπουδαίο ρόλο και φροντίζει να τις αναδεικνύει, ειδικά σε σκηνές που ίσως να μην είχαμε το συγκεκριμένο αποτέλεσμα. Σε μια ψηφοφορία που έγινε από τον Classic FM στην Βρετανία με πάνω από 10.000 άτομα, έγινε γνωστή η λίστα με τα 100 αγαπημένα soundtrack από ταινίες και στην κορυφή ήταν αυτό των Lord Of The Rings.

Παρόλο που δεν βρέθηκε στην κορυφή, ο John Williams είχε 5 συμμετοχές στο top 20 και άλλες 11 στο top 100 συνολικά, με τα Schindler’s List (2), Star Wars franchise (3), Jurassic Park franchise (8), Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (11), Indiana Jones franchise (13), Saving Private Ryan (21), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (30), Jaws (39), Superman (47), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (58), και War Horse (87).

Ο Hans Zimmer είχε 10 συμμετοχές στο top 100, με τα Gladiator (5), Interstellar (17), The Lion King (23), Inception (29), Pirates of the Caribbean franchise (31), The Holiday (52), The Dark Knight trilogy (61), Dunkirk (70), No Time to Die (77) και The Da Vinci Code (85).

Ο John Barry είχε 6 ταινίες στο the top 100, με τα Out of Africa (4), Dances With Wolves (7), Somewhere in Time (56), Born Free (69), On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (72) και Goldfinger (76), ενώ τέλος ο σπουδαίος Ennio Morricone είχε επίσης μεγάλη παρουσία στο top 100, με τα The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (9), The Mission (10), Cinema Paradiso (26), Once Upon a Time in the West (49), Once Upon a Time in America (82).
