Στο καστ βρίσκονται οι Ewan McGregor, Carrie Coon (The Leftovers), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane), Scoot McNairy (Halt & Catch Fire), David Thewlis (Harry Potter), Michael Stuhlbarg (Boardwalk Empire), Jim Gaffigan (The Bleeder).
Η υπόθεση για την τρίτη σεζόν του Fargo: Ο Emmit Stussy θα αντιπροσωπεύει το American Dream, καθότι είναι γοητευτικός, έχει φτιάξει τα πάντα μόνος του και έχει απίστευτη αυτοπεποίθηση, ενώ το ακριβώς αντίθετο είναι ο Ray που δεν τον λες και εμφανίσιμο, ενώ παράλληλα εργάζεται ως αστυνομικός-επιτηρητής αποφυλακισμένων και δεν τρέφει μεγάλη συμπάθεια στον Emmit.
