[dropcap]T[/dropcap]α Friends επέστρεψαν και επίσημα με την αφιερωματική εκπομπή για αυτό το reunion και η ηθοποιός της σειράς Courteney Cox αποκάλυψε πως “πληγώθηκε” που ήταν η μόνη που δεν είχε προταθεί για Emmy από όλους τους υπόλοιπους που είχαν συνολικά 16 υποψηφιότητες. Δήλωσε πως κατάφερε αργότερα στο Cougar Town να προταθεί για πρώτη φορά για Χρυσές Σφαίρες, αλλά θα ήθελε να μην είναι η μόνη χωρίς υποψηφιότητα στα Emmy (μεταξύ σοβαρού και αστείου).
Ηθοποιοί και συντελεστές έκαναν μια talk show εκπομπή στην οποία αναφέρθηκαν σε διάφορα σχετικά με την σειρά και τους χαρακτήρες. Το HBO Max ήρθε σε συμφωνία με ηθοποιούς και παραγωγή, για να γίνει αυτό το special, που κόστισε 20 εκ. δολάρια. Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courteney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey), Matthew Perry (Chandler), David Schwimmer (Ross) λέγεται πως πήραν από 2.5 εκατομύρια ανά άτομο, ενώ στις θέσεις τους είναι και οι δημιουργοί David Crane και Mara Kauffman.
Guest star είναι οι David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon, Malala Yousafzai. Σκηνοθέτης είναι ο Ben Winston και παραγωγοί οι Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, David Crane.
