H σειρά Chernobyl όπως είναι λογικό αναφέρεται στα δραματικά γεγονότα που οδήγησαν στην ανείπωτη καταστροφή του πυρηνικού εργοστασίου του Τσερνόμπιλ στις 26 Απριλίου του 1986, που απελευθέρωσε ραδιενεργά στοιχεία σε ένα μεγάλο μέρος της Ευρώπης.
H σκηνοθεσία είναι του Johan Renck, πρωταγωνιστούν οι Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård, Emily Watson, Paul Ritter, Jessie Buckley, Adrian Rawlins, Con O’Neill, Barry Keoghan.
