[dropcap]Ο[/dropcap]ι σειρές τα τελευταία χρόνια έχουν πάρει σταθερά ανοδική πορεία και πλέον δημιουργούνται ολοένα και περισσότερες, με το Netflix να ανακοινώνει πως συνεχίζεται και για δεύτερη σεζόν το The Diplomat.
Η υπόθεση για την σειρά είναι η εξής: Κατά τη διάρκεια μιας διεθνους κρίσης, μια διπλωμάτης προσπαθεί να ισορροπήσει ανάμεσα στην υψηλού προφίλ δουλειά της ως πρέσβυς στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και τον ταραχώδη γάμο της με έναν σταρ της πολιτικής.
Δημιουργός είναι η Debora Cahn, ενώ πρωταγωνιστούν οι Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, Rory Kinnear, Ato Essandoh, Ali Ahn, Jon Moore, Adam Silver, Bhav Joshi, Eric Tiede, κ.α.
