[dropcap]M[/dropcap]ε τις live-action ταινίες να είναι στην μόδα, το Netflix ετοιμάζει την live action σειρά για το δημοφιλές anime One Piece. Ο δημιουργός του anime, Eiichiro Oda θα έχει ρόλο συμβουλευτικό, με 8 επεισόδια στην πρώτη σεζόν, ενώ η σειρά θα προβληθεί στις 31 Αυγούστου. Η σειρά μάλιστα είναι δεδομένα μια από τις πιο ακριβές στο Netflix, μιας και θα έχει 18 εκατ. δολάρια ανά επεισόδιο και φυσικά οι προσδοκίες είναι πολύ υψηλές.
Τα πρόσωπα που θα υποδυθούν τους κεντρικούς χαρακτήρες είναι οι Monkey D. Luffy στον ρόλο του Iñaki Godoy, ενώ τον Roronoa Zoro θα υποδυθεί ο Mackenyu, η Emily Rudd έχει τον ρόλο της Nami, ο Jacob Romero Gibson του Usopp και ο Taz Skylar τον Sanji.
Σ’ αυτούς προστέθηκαν οι Morgan Davies (The End, Evil Dead Rise), Ilia Isorelýs Paulino (The Sex Lives of College Girls, Me Time), Aidan Scott (Action Point, Between the Devil), Jeff Ward (Brand New Cherry Flavor, Hacks), McKinley Belcher III (Ozark, The Good Lord Bird), Vincent Regan (300, Troy).
