[dropcap]Ο[/dropcap]ι επιλογές ηθοποιών σε ταινίες σίγουρα αποτελεί ένα από τα βασικά συστατικά για να επιτύχουν στο είδος τους και όχι μόνο. Υπάρχουν μερικές πολύ επιτυχημένες και κάποιες άλλες οι οποίες αποδείχθηκαν αποτυχημένες.
Ωστόσο είναι μερικές ταινίες και συγκεκριμένα ρόλους που δεν θα μπορούσαμε να φανταστούμε με άλλους ηθοποιούς. Ο Johnny Depp συνδέθηκε με τον ρόλο του Jack Sparrow στο Pirates Of The Carribean, ωστόσο αυτός αρχικά είχε προταθεί στον Jim Carrey. Ο σκηνοθέτης Gore Verbinksi αρχικά προσέφερε τον ρόλο στον δημοφιλή ηθοποιό, αλλά έπρεπε να αρνηθεί, καθώς ήταν απασχολημένος με τα γυρίσματα της ταινίας «Bruce Almighty».
