Mετά το sequel του John Wick, για το οποίο σας είχαμε γράψει την άποψη μας, την κριτική μας για την ταινία John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, έχουμε το John Wick 4 με τα πρώτα πολύ καλά πρώτα σχόλια και να χαρακτηρίζεται ως μια από τις καλύτερες ταινίες δράσης που έχουν γίνει σύμφωνα με τις πρώτες αντιδράσεις, ενώ στο Rotten Tomatoes έχει ξεκινήσει με 91%.

Aυτή θα είναι και επίσημα η μεγαλύτερη σε διάρκεια σε όλο το franchise με διαφορά κιόλας, μιας και είναι στα 169 λεπτά (2 ώρες και 49 λεπτά). Το πρώτο John Wick ήταν 101 λεπτά, το John Wick: Chapter 2, 122 λεπτά, ενώ John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, 131, οπότε περιμένουμε την τελική διάρκεια.
Η ταινία αποτελεί την καλύτερη σε όλο το franchise, όπως είχε δηλώσει ο Laurence Fishburne. Mιλώντας στο Variety, είχε αναφέρει πως κατά την ειλικρινή άποψη του θα είναι η κορυφαία από τις 4, έχοντας 3-4 εκπληκτικές σκηνές με την έναρξη της, νέους χαρακτήρες και γενικά πολύ fun, ενώ εκείνος θα επιστρέψει.
Ο Keanu Reeves έδωσε ακόμα μεγαλύτερο hype, μιας και ανέφερε ότι το John Wick 4 έχει την περισσότερη δράση από κάθε άλλη ταινία του franchise ενώ είναι η πιο απαιτητική και δυσκολη προετοιμασία και ρόλος που έχει κάνει στην καριέρα του, μέχρι τώρα. Επίσης τόνισε πως έχει μια από τις καλύτερες σκηνές καταδίωξης με αυτοκίνητο που ανεβάζει επίπεδο όχι μόνο το franchise, αλλά και γενικότερα τις ταινίες δράσης.
Παράλληλα, ο σκηνοθέτης Chad Stahelski ανέφερε πως η ταινία θα επηρεαστεί από τις ταινίες “Ο Καλός, Ο Κακός και ο Άσχημος”, “Zatoichi” αλλά κι έναν ελληνικό μύθο, κάτι που μας φαίνεται πολύ ενδιαφέρον και ιντριγκαδόρικο.
Η υπόθεση έχει ως εξής: “Ο John Wick ανακαλύπτει ένα μονοπάτι για να νικήσει το High Table. Αλλά πριν κερδίσει την ελευθερία του, ο Wick πρέπει να αντιμετωπίσει έναν νέο εχθρό με ισχυρές συμμαχίες σε όλο τον κόσμο και δυνάμεις που μετατρέπουν παλιούς φίλους σε εχθρούς.”
H σκηνοθεσία είναι του Chad Stahelski, ενώ το John Wick: Chapter 4 δεν γυρίστηκε μαζί με την πέμπτη ταινία και έχουν ανακοινωθεί οι Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, Μarko Ζaror, Clancy Brown.
Να θυμήσουμε πως στην τρίτη ταινία o πρωταγωνιστής κυνηγιέται για δυο σημαντικούς λόγους: το ότι υπάρχει ένα συμβόλαιο 14 εκ. δολαρίων για το… κεφάλι του και επίσης το ότι αφαίρεσε μια ζωή στο Continental Hotel. Δεν σκότωσε έναν απλό άνθρωπο, αλλά ένα μέλος του High Table που έδωσε την εντολή για αυτό το συμβόλαιο. Πλέον ο John Wick πρέπει να παλέψει με τις πιθανότητες, μιας και όλοι είναι εναντίον του.
