[dropcap]Ο[/dropcap]ι σειρές που βασίζονται σε ταινίες αυξάνονται με ραγδαίους ρυθμούς και έχουμε να δούμε πολλά στα επόμενα χρόνια, με την Disney να ανακοινώνει και επίσημα πως θα κάνει σειρά National Treasure.
Το franchise με τον Nicolas Cage θα επιστρέψει για το Disney+ με 10 επεισόδια σε παραγωγή του Jerry Bruckheimer με τους αυθεντικούς σεναριογράφους Marianne και Cormac Wibberley, σε σκηνοθεσία Mira Nair (Vanity Fair) με τον τίτλο να είναι National Treasure: Edge of History.
Η σειρά είναι με πρωταγωνίστρια την Catherine-Zeta Jones, ως μιας δισεκατομμυριούχο, η οποία είναι ειδική στις παρανομίες. Mαζί της παίζουν οι Lisette Alexis, Zuri Reed, Jordan Rodrigues, Antonio Cipriano, Jake Austin Walker, Jacob Vargas, Lyndon Smith, κ.α.
Η σειρά επικεντρώνεται στον χαρακτήρα της Lisette Alexis, που αναζητάει απαντήσεις σε ερωτήματα σχετικά με την οικογένεια της και ξεκινάει ένα ταξίδι ζωής για την ανακάλυψη του περιβόητου και πολύτιμου θησαυρού.
