[dropcap]Τ[/dropcap]ο τελευταίο διάστημα υπήρχε κινητικότητα για την ταινία Batgirl, που τελικά μπαίνει στο… ράφι από την Warner Bros., καθώς η παραγωγή των 70 εκ. μπορεί να είχε γυριστεί, ωστόσο δε θα προβληθεί ούτε καν από το HBO Max. Λέγεται πως τα test screenings ήταν τόσο απογοητευτικά, που ανάγκασαν την εταιρεία να μην προχωρήσει στην κυκλοφορία της, σε μια περίεργη κίνηση αν μη τι άλλο.
Πρωταγωνίστρια την Leslie Grace (In the Heights), ο Brendan Fraser θα υποδυόταν τον villain Firefly και φυσικά ο Michael Keaton προστέθηκε ως Batman, ωστόσο δεν θα δούμε τελικά κανέναν από αυτούς.
Η ταινία είχε σκηνοθέτες τους Adil El Arbi και Bilall Fallah (γνωστούς από το Bad Boys for Life), ενώ η Christina Hodson, σεναριογράφος των ταινιών Birds of Prey και The Flash, θα έχει τον ίδιο ρόλο και εδώ. Στο cast ήταν και οι Ethan Kai (London Kills), Corey Johnson (Hellboy), Rebecca Front (The Thick of It).
